In September 2026, people searched for Microsoft Copilot by name about 123,000 times in New Zealand, a 17.9% decrease from the previous year. These searches made up 2.6% of all New Zealand AI chatbot searches, placing Microsoft Copilot third out of five chatbots. When we asked both ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about AI chatbots, Microsoft Copilot appeared in three of the five answers and was the fourth most recommended of the five.
