How popular isGoogle Classroom?

In September 2026, people searched for Google Classroom by name about 450,000 times in New Zealand, a 49.5% increase from the previous year. These searches made up 88.7% of all New Zealand classroom app searches, placing Google Classroom first out of four apps. When we asked both ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about classroom apps, Google Classroom appeared in three of the five answers and was the most recommended of the four.
