Google Keep vs OneNote:Which is more popular?

In September 2026, OneNote had more branded searches than Google Keep among note-taking apps in New Zealand. OneNote had about 15,400 branded searches, while Google Keep had 6,050. OneNote made up 38.8% of all note-taking app searches we track, and Google Keep accounted for 15.2%. When we asked ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about note-taking apps, OneNote appeared in all five answers and Google Keep in three. OneNote was mentioned before Google Keep in every answer.

In three ChatGPT questions and two Google AI Overviews, OneNote appeared in all five answers. Google Keep was mentioned in three out of five: in two of the three ChatGPT answers and in one of the two Google AI Overviews. OneNote was listed before Google Keep in every answer.
