In September 2026, Google Drive had more branded searches than DocuWare among business document management platforms worldwide. Google Drive had about 37.2 million branded searches, while DocuWare had 33,500. Google Drive made up 91.4% of all business document management platform searches we track, and DocuWare accounted for 0.08%. When we asked ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about business document management platforms, DocuWare appeared in four of the five answers and Google Drive in two. DocuWare was mentioned before Google Drive in three out of four answers that named either.

Top business document management platforms in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews

In three ChatGPT questions and two Google AI Overviews, DocuWare was mentioned in four out of five: in all three ChatGPT answers and in one of the two Google AI Overviews. Google Drive was mentioned in two out of five: in two of the three ChatGPT answers, but not in either of the two Google AI Overviews. DocuWare was listed before Google Drive in three out of four answers that named either.
