In September 2026, Google Drive had more branded searches than SharePoint among business document management platforms worldwide. Google Drive had about 37.2 million branded searches, while SharePoint had 3.4 million. Google Drive made up 91.4% of all business document management platform searches we track, and SharePoint accounted for 8.2%. When we asked ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about business document management platforms, SharePoint appeared in all five answers and Google Drive in two.
