How popular isClaude?

In September 2026, people searched for Claude by name about 116.6 million times worldwide, a 647.8% increase from the previous year. These searches made up 4.2% of all global generative AI platform searches, placing Claude third out of seven platforms. When we asked both ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about generative AI platforms, Claude appeared in four of the five answers and was the second most recommended of the seven.

In three ChatGPT questions and two Google AI Overviews, Claude was mentioned in four out of five: in all three ChatGPT answers and in one of the two Google AI Overviews. Claude is the second most recommended of the seven.
