In September 2026, Trustpilot had more branded searches than Birdeye among customer review platforms in New Zealand. Trustpilot had about 6,600 branded searches, while Birdeye had 170. Trustpilot made up 38.7% of all customer review platform searches we track, and Birdeye accounted for 1%. When we asked ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about customer review platforms, Trustpilot appeared in four of the five answers and Birdeye in two. In three ChatGPT questions and two Google AI Overviews, Trustpilot was mentioned in four out of five: in two of the three ChatGPT answers and in both Google AI Overviews. Birdeye was mentioned in two out of five: in one of the three ChatGPT answers and in one of the two Google AI Overviews. Trustpilot was listed before Birdeye in three out of five answers.
