In September 2026, Toyota drew 38.3% of estimated branded searches across these three brands in the United Kingdom, ahead of Volkswagen at 31.6%. When we checked with ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, Toyota was mentioned most often, in three of the five answers. Of all 55 brands we track in car brands, Toyota was the most recommended, Volkswagen was third and Ford was 19th.
