In September 2026, Google Meet had more branded searches than Zoom among video conferencing tools in New Zealand. Google Meet had about 51,500 branded searches, while Zoom had 4,730. Google Meet made up 64.4% of all video conferencing tool searches we track, and Zoom accounted for 5.9%. When we asked ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about video conferencing tools, both Google Meet and Zoom appeared in all four answers. Zoom was mentioned before Google Meet in three out of four answers.
