In September 2026, Khan Academy had more branded searches than Udemy among online learning platforms in New Zealand. Khan Academy had about 10,000 branded searches, while Udemy had 5,710. Khan Academy made up 15.3% of all online learning platform searches we track, and Udemy accounted for 8.7%. When we asked ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about online learning platforms, Udemy appeared in three of the five answers and Khan Academy in one. Khan Academy was mentioned in one out of five: in one of the three ChatGPT answers, but not in either of the two Google AI Overviews.
