In September 2026, Apple AirPods had more branded searches than Sennheiser among headphone brands in New Zealand. Apple AirPods had about 83,800 branded searches, while Sennheiser had 6,970. Apple AirPods made up 43.8% of all headphone brand searches we track, and Sennheiser accounted for 3.6%. When we asked ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about headphone brands, Sennheiser appeared in all five answers and Apple AirPods in two.
