Toyota, Tesla and Honda:Which are most popular?

In September 2026, Toyota drew 44.7% of estimated branded searches across these three brands in the United States, ahead of Tesla at 28%. When we checked with ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, Toyota and Honda were mentioned most often, in four of the five answers. Of all 46 brands we track in car brands, Honda was the most recommended, Toyota was second and Tesla was 15th.

In three ChatGPT questions and two Google AI Overviews, Toyota and Honda were mentioned most often, in four of the five answers. Of all 46 brands we track in car brands, Honda was the most recommended, Toyota was second and Tesla was 15th.
