In September 2026, ExpressVPN had more branded searches than Windscribe among VPN services worldwide. ExpressVPN had about 550,000 branded searches, while Windscribe had 450,000. ExpressVPN made up 13.9% of all VPN service searches we track, and Windscribe accounted for 11.4%. When we asked ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews about VPN services, ExpressVPN and Windscribe each appeared in two of the five answers. Windscribe was mentioned before ExpressVPN in two out of three answers that named either.
