In September 2026, GitHub Codespaces had more branded searches than Live Share among remote pair programming tools worldwide. GitHub Codespaces had about 60,500 branded searches, while Live Share had 4,400. GitHub Codespaces made up 55.9% of all remote pair programming tool searches we track, and Live Share accounted for 4.1%.
