CommBank, ANZ and Westpac:Which are most popular?
In September 2026, CommBank drew 40.3% of estimated branded searches across these three brands in Australia, ahead of ANZ at 29.9%. When we checked with ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, CommBank was mentioned most often, in four of the five answers. Of all nine brands we track in banks, CommBank was the third most recommended, Westpac was sixth and ANZ was seventh.
